Hometips.com is a one-stop source for home-improvement, remodeling, home repair, and home decorating information. Based on the award-winning HGTV show "The Fix," this site offers free advice, buying guides,
do-it-yourself help, ideas, reviews, and a helpful guide to your home. Worth a look.
Bob Vila, the world famous home repair guy, has a very high-tech site. It includes a VRML walk
through of Bob's home, audio links, and information on many interesting topics from gardening through what's up with Bob. Definately worth the time it takes to check out.
Jerry Baker's Homepage. Contains a weekly garden recipie, for example, beer to control thatch in lawns, soap for insects, etc. If once a week isn't enough, try Organic Recipes for a Healthier Lawn and Garden. This site is a kind of cookbook for gardening recipies. Or,Lawn Tonics and Mixes, or this fine article by...well, modesty forbids. Any type of gardening preparation from fertilizers to fungicides can be made inexpensively from safe household products. Give them a try.
PBS' "This Old
House." No list of how-to links would be complete without the home repair antics of Normie and Steve. The site shows and discusses many of the projects shown on the popular TV
show. There is also a reader's forum where even more interesting topics are discussed, such as "what happened to Norm's wedding ring?"
Fine Woodworking Magazine on-line. An absolutely great web site for woodworkers. The
same high quality you've come to expect from any of the Taunton Press publications is here on the Fine Woodworking site.
