IDENTIFICATION/CLASSIFICATION OF GOODS GUIDELINES

Broad identifications are generally acceptable. An example is “ammunition.” In re
Dynamit Nobel AG, 169 USPQ 499 (TTAB 1971)

As a general rule, closely related goods, such as gun
slings, ammunition belts, and gun racks for cars and trucks, are included in
International Class 13. Exceptions
frequently encountered are telescopic gun sights which are International Class
9 and gun display and storage cabinets which are considered furniture in
International Class 20.

Also included in I.C. 13 are firearm carriers, such as
military tanks and bombers.
